Newton Retro Series

Smart Panel

A perfect fusion of art and technology spanning a century.

In early 1917, the “toggle switch” invented by William J. Newton first appeared in England.
To honor Newton’s great invention, the “toggle switch,”
Moorgen Intelligence designed and launched the “Newton Retro Series” smart panel in 2017, exactly 100 years later.

Moorgen has given this
“classic vintage switch” a smart heart,
by integrating it with the advancements
of the global Internet of Things era.
As a result, even after 100 years,
it enjoys embrace and appreciation from a wider audience interested in fashion.

Certainly, any smart panel will feature illuminated text.
However, as a classic vintage panel from the Newton Series, the “traditional knob style” would be compromised by “modern illuminated text,”
making it less antique.
To address this sensitive issue, Moorgen developed a patented sensing technology that ensures the text remains unlit even when the user stands in front of the panel.
This allows users to fully appreciatethe pure retro aesthetics of the panel.

When the hand approaches
within 2 cm

Only when you extend your hand within 2 cm of the panel, the text lights on the panel will gradually illuminate,
making it convenient for users to see the text on the panel.

When the person leaves

After moving away from the panel for 5 seconds,
the text lights will gradually fade out automatically.
This is also one of the technologies from “Moorgen Intelligence” known as
“Short-Range Touchless Sensing Technology.”
